  1. The squeak is coming from the clutch mechanism ( release bearing- diaphragm ) mostly in combination with a hard clutch pedal feeling. Two options: install a new clutch or try live with the squeak.
  2. Cylinder liners are not available separately, it means a new cylinder block. Wait for the dealer's advise and rapport back later on what the real trouble and the solution is.
  3. Just one single Torkx, don't forget to adjust the emergency brake shoes on the minimum setting before removing the rear rotors, and readjust with the new ones till proper specs.
  4. It works a lot easier with the engine out of the car, they need the car for 1 week but they works not continually on it i assume. Let check the noisy cylinder liner inside/piston with a devise before dismantling the cylinder head, there are Turbo's with cylinder liner damage well known and it is the same noise as a faulty lifter. Hope the best for you.
  5. Lock the shifter in manual possition, you can use the steering wheel buttons than without automatic up shifting after 8 seconds.
  6. The car needs no alignment and you can tighten the bolds with the car on a lift, unfortunately i have no torque specs. for the bolts here ( holidays )
  7. There is no real fix, replacing is the best option but you can try with some glue and look what it gives in the future.
  8. Look out Loren, Cayenne V8 > 06 ( 07 doesnt exist ) Cayenne V8 < 08 DFI use different oil filters, O ring is not including with 08. The location is approx. the same.
  9. The switch on a ZF tiptronic is located on the transmission case ( not on the lever ). The adjustment of the gear cable is on the lever.
  10. The airco service machine will do the complete job, recycling-vacuum-oil-recharging. All you have to do is report the service men that both condensers are new, he knows the amount and the type of oil for R134a. The system contains 0,900gr. refrigerant.
  11. 986 tiptronic gear switch is located on the gearbox, access is easy.
  12. jpflip Good luck! :wrench:
  13. Your situation is not unique, this things comes off more than often.
  14. I use non chlorinated also, chlorinated is forbidden by law here.
  15. #2 is out of the question, use down hill the same gear as up hill with brake assist when necessary IMHO.
  16. It is recommended to clean the Porsche original rotors with brake cleaner before installing.
  17. Something in co relation with the DME, only for MY 05. MY06 have got a DME reprogram for the same reason ( 05 and 06 DME are different. )
  18. It is fuse Row D number 2, they have put a blind one in and a new little manual in the fuse box. The campaign is more than 6 month old ( elimin. high speed engine room fan )
  19. Let take the vehicle handover procedure and coding again, even twice or more if necessary.
  20. Before starting the rebuild job, check if the parts are available, it can save you a lot of work and disappointment.
  21. There is no calibration needed when the car ran out of fuel: fill up the tank till full, after a dead battery: fill up the tank till full, and by a fuel pump replacement you got even nothing to do. Calibration is needed by fuel tank replacement, fuel sender replacement and instrument cluster replacement to be sure. Lift the sender arm and look if the gauge go's up to check the system, take care that the arm can move free while installing the unit ( the arm can get stuck behind the fuel lines easily )
  22. They comes probably by foot, unbelievable that Porsche US have no stock, the struts are available here not in BO.
  23. I agree with wvicary, that's the question.
  24. Buy a new MAF, cleaning is only in some cases useful bud always temporary, most of the time the fault will come back.
  25. The lift points you mentioned are used for : a) garage jack B) garage lift. Never use the sub frames for jacking ( the ones with a bolt in the middle )
