  1. K44 - Geschwindigkeitsregelanlage = cruise control system. There will undoubtedly be several items that are directly/indirectly related to cruise control, such as speed signal, brake signal, etc.
  2. This is the oil by-pass valve and should be on the bottom of the canister, since you quote that a breakage has occurred, the entire unit must be replaced.
  3. Is the gray soft plastic flap which is attached on the wiper motor/mechanism cover, and protect the filter/air intake for water infiltration still present?
  4. In my opinion it has something to do with the thrust bearing, have this checked by a mechanic to be sure.
  5. Electronics have nothing to do with higher crank speed, only a compression problem or the use of a starting aid powered with higher than the usual 12/14 volt can cause this phenomenon IMO. In that case you have a serious problem with the electronic components, at least i hope not.
  6. This is normal Cayenne behavior, once the key has been brought into crank position it can be released, either the engine starts immediately or the starter motor will stop on a timer (appr. 5-6 sec.) without holding the key. A faster starting speed on engines in good condition, indicates compression loss in general, after a longer standstill as 6 month and more, valve pollution is usually the cause. This can not always be determined with a compression measurement, a cylinder leak test is more appropriate.
  7. Thank you for the goodwill to share this info, i'm sure there are people here who can do something with it. This is ultimately the purpose of the forum.
  8. It might be interesting to post the part number, it can provide a solution for forum members with the same problem.
  9. The motor is a real boxer configuration, not a 180° V engine. As you indicate, the crankshaft has a separate crank for each connecting rod.
  10. For LHD cars: yes, passenger side towards the middle at the top.
  11. It may be that the original engine is changed for some reason, the Euro cars, if i remember correctly, had only just one sensor on one camshaft. In this case it would therefore be normal that you can't find any wiring. Give the VIN and engine #, someone on the forum can compare the numbers for matching.
  12. Interesting, thanks for the pics and explanation, i have no experience with it but it seems that this has to do with it, remains the question what is the cause of the faulty transistor? Good job, please keep us posted.
  13. Probably the venting of the front differential, the transfer case and rear diff. should also have one.
  14. Looks like the aeration of the gearbox which must prevent water penetrating when wading through water puddles, the rubber gut may be raised a little higher and is not closed as you say, air pressure can still escape from the gearbox.
  15. I think you need the following parts: 999 073 062 02 Tapping screw 4,8x19. Hope it helps.
  16. Check whether the alternator is equipped with a freewheel pulley, when it is jammed such a symptom can also occur.
  17. Your 99 electronic throttle body is most likely from a C4, these were already electronic in 99.
  18. Thormann, the top of the treath part of the M12 nut is oval, not round, as a safety Item.
  19. If there is no large leak, the amount of oil you have put into the engine will be too little. Pour 1/4 can at a time until the max. on the dipstick is reached. Probably the tick in the engine come through too little oil in the engine (valve train), a completely empty engine after disassembly/reassembly will have to contain more oil.
