  1. I do not see why a caliper can could not be overhauled, It is even recommended, after many years and miles driven, to check thoroughly and proceed with overhaul.
  2. The use of a two-channel scope makes this immediately clear, the signals between the crankshaft sensor and the camshaft sensor will be out of synchronization. Unfortunately not every enthusiastic has this equipment available. Happy New Year to everyone.
  3. When done properly, helicoil is a good and reliable solution.
  4. Only engine or transmission oil may become visible at that spot, transmission oil, inclusive ATF, does not necessarily have to be red in color. When the oil is still clearly bright in color, it's because of a faulty oil seal on the input shaft of the transmission, manual, Tiptronic or PDK. Engine oil is darker in color by the pollution from the combustion.
  5. Looks like the car needs a full alignment, perform this work in non loaded state, with a full fuel tank, and the correct ride height.
  6. A cracked diaphragm spring is in such case mostly the culprit.
  7. It is also a working method, depending on the brand of the drop link.
  8. Image 2 is a Torx bit, in order to prevent the threaded rod from rotating when the nut is tightened.
  9. I assume it's a separate front/rear AC system, in this case there is something wrong with the rear part, a PIWIS is strongly recommended to check the several parameters, servo's, sensors, etc., without any equipment it will be hard.

  12. Myself would go with the Bosch 4 electrode spark plugs, Porsche chose this system for a reason. The 2 electrode NGK will also work but can cause problems at an earlier stage, this is what i think of it.
  13. And injector fuses (2) in the fuse box behind the firewall, left side under the plastic trim.
  14. If it has come by itself, generally, a faulty amplifier is the cause. Check this out properly.
  15. You can rectify it by reprogram the control boxes over again with a diagnostic tool as PIWIS or similar. Sometimes it helps to disconnect the battery for ten minutes.
  16. Beware with this China junk, it would be an expensive purchase if some control boxes will be blown up. I would not recommend it.

  18. 1) No, it is even easy, valve and sensor are a unit, remove the nut on the valve and pull de sensor unit out along the rim. 2) Consult site sponsor "Sunset Porsche" by the button on top of the page "Special Offers" 3) Diagnose tool as PIWIS needed. Hope it helps.
  19. These things must protect the bodywork from stone chips, they discolor after a few years, especially on a white background. Replacing them is the best option, removal is not that easy because parts of the paint can be torn off especially if that spot has ever been repainted after repair, carefully using a hair dryer to warm up the sticker first. Caution is adviced here.
  20. This is not possible in my view, only by removal, gearbox, clutch, flywheel and shaft cover, but i could be wrong.

  22. Looks like U clamps which hold item #2 in place on the clamp shell.
  23. The sound can be caused by the A/C, the pipes run along the right side of the car, inside the wheelwell and next to the cabin air filter. Is there ever maintenance done at the A/C such as refreshing the refrigerant and replacement of the drier/filter, it should also be done to a 15 year old system.
