  1. The you need to fix the cause...see my previous post. Do you need more info?
  2. I just have an Interstate maintainer (and an Interstate battery)...it is hard wired to the terminals and has a cord with a plug-in for the cord that goes to the wall outlet. I leave the hood down, but not closed....I have done this for 4 years and never an issue. Here is a picture of the cord that attaches directly to the battery terminals:
  3. P0012/1349: Possible fault cause ♦ Solenoid hydraulic valve camshaft adjustment faulty ♦ Allocation of camshaft to inlet camshaft incorrect ♦ Dirt in system ♦ Solenoid hydraulic valve mechanically blocked reset it and see if it comes back....
  4. There is no X50 "kit" that I am aware of.... so you want to upgrade your turbos, ECU, exhaust, ICs...perhaps some gears (although this is debated) and add PCCBs IMHO, you would be better of getting hybrid turbos, an aftermarket ECU flash, an excellent aftermarket exhaust (like EPs), DVs, new suspension/coilovers and some new rubber. Forget the poseur S emblem and the brakes. the X50 option was like 17800 (US) PCCBs another 10K or so...Yikes.
  5. I would take it back to the dealership who sold you an a slave you didn't need and have them lube the mechanism...
  6. The way to do this is to hold the window button in the down position until the window is all the way down and hold it for 10 seconds,,,then repeat in the up position....but this is not likely your issue...you should search "microswitch"
  7. When you hit the remote twice (as stated above) and lock the doors but deactivate the interior sensors, you should get 1 beep. If your alarm is going off randomly that is another issue. The beeps do not occur when the car is opened. The car can be programmed using PST2 or PIWIS to: type 1: doors lock automatically when ignition is switched on type 2: Doors lock automatically when speed of 5-10 km/hr is exceeded type 3: Doors lock automatically when ignition is switched on. If doors are opened with the engine running, they lock when speeds hot 5-km/hr. type 4: the doors do not lock automatically additionally if you lock set the alarm and there are 2 beeps, something is wrong with the alarm or central locking system.
  8. Nope...you can rig it to sound, but that just means one of the sensors is tripped...some folks will open the center console to do this.
  9. What is your exact model? Do you have any aftermarket top equipment? You checked the micro switch(es)? Are the flaps operating? have you looked at this thread? Fuse is D3
  10. +1...an excellent specimen...love the color combo and CF accents!
  11. I could understand if you had drained the oil, but I do not think it is necessary for having the car sit...to each his own...
  12. Yes it's the hood gap... now what can I do? I've adjusted the knobs clockwise as far as they'll go.... Is the bumper installed and adjusted properly?
  13. Model and MY please...for 04: Fuse is D1 (30A), but it sounds more like something became disconnected.
  14. These oil threads go on forever...read here if you want more info Bob the Oil Guy. In particular search for posts by Doug Hillary (also on rennlist) as he has done extensive analysis of oils used in European cars. The first number is the viscosity when the oil is cold...you want it to flow when the oil is cold...therefore go 0 or 5...the second is when the oil is hot...40, or 50 are recommended.
  15. I would get the suspension checked out...also check rubber and inflation pressures...in any case this is not typical. What are the road conditions like?
  16. Well it is the better safe than sorry: 1. I could do a complete vehicle history on your car, 2. I could use that VIN on documents, 3. It could be used by car thiefs... just too much information available...
  17. Ignition range (1 in this case) is the last time an over rev was recorded...so essentially the last redline incursion occurred 81 hours ago. Oh and I would erase/cover the VIN for security reasons...
  18. search is your friend...this took less than 3 seconds to find: here you go
