997 Ashtray delete kit

I have a 997 S and would like to eliminate the ashtray and create a storage bin here. Does anyone know if there is an ashtray delete kit for the 997?

Sorry, no "non smokers" kit for the 997 to my knowledge.

I think the only thing that woud fit there is a hockey puck.

But it is an interesting idea.

What I did is pull the little metal piece out with the ash tray open. It's just pressed in

worries about idiots rear-ending your porsche, and morons dinging it with their car doors in parking lots will drive you to smoke. Keep the ashtray.

These guys : http://www.bumperplugs.com/BPindex.html advertise a non-smoker package, but don't tell you what it is. Check them out.

We DO tell you what it is! :) It replaced the ashtray on the rear console of any 996 or 986.

And it is for 996/986 ONLY. Nothing made for 997/987 variants (yet).....

Yes! Or an XM receiver/interface would be even better (than the placement in front of the shifter out in the open--with the tacked-on look).
