Scotch Guard vs Porsche sealant on the top?

Recommended Posts

I have used the Porsche top sealant on the top, but I need to do it again and don't feel like driving all the way to the dealership. Is Scotch guard the same thing? When you use the Porsche sealant the water beads nicely on the top as if it were painted.

Can't beat RaggTopp cleaner and protectant. Much easier to apply than the Porsche stuff and same, if not longer lasting, protection.

Make sure you get the one specifically made for fabric tops, as they also make a formulation for vinyl tops.

Regards, Maurice.

The Porsche stuff was a pain. I had to tape it all off like I was painting to keep it off the paint. I have heard the RaggTopp is good. Do you know of any local stores that sell it? Walmart, Autozone, O'Reileys, Pepboys, Napa etc.

Well, I bought the 303 kit because I could just get it locally, but after reading in the instructions that you shouldn't get it on the paint, I ordered the Ragg Topp kit. I don't want to have to tape and cover everything like last time. Thanks for all of your input.
