Hi all and thanks ahead of time.

I am not going to use my 1999 C2 996 in the winter. I have changed the oil. I would like to hook up my Battery Tender to it.

any advice on where to hook it up? Book says to the battery but I'm thinking of putting it where jumper cables should be attached.

Appreciate any help

Contact Deltran customer service and see if anyone near you sells the cigarette lighter adapter. Chances are nobody does and odds are good they will just send you one as goodwill. Then just connect it to your cigarette lighter plug, which works the best. There's a notch in the bottom of the driver door rubber seal to route the maintainer cable through. Or you could always order one through Amazon

Thank you geoff but

Cig. lighter is dead(the fuse is ok). I did a check and could not find a problem w/the lighter. I will tackle that lighter in the Spring.

Question still is, can I connect it to the recommended jumper ports?

If the lighter socket doesnt work, dont take the chance of connecting via the jumper ports. I would think its best to connect directly to the battery.

I have mine hooked up to the battery. I bought an Interstate maintainer and it has cables that hook directly to the battery and then a plug-in for the charger. Your lighter socket may just need the prongs bent in.

I'll give the cig lite a try.

Thanks
