  1. Yes I'm back with another problem. Ctt 06 with 4 zone climate control, 45 degrees in dubai and the AC starts to blow hot. Had new gas 1050 grams as per spec after the head gaskets were done 4 months ago, vac test showed no leaks then. I had to keep turning it off and on to get it to kick back in which is suspiciously like the compressor clutch not kicking in. So questions: Possibilities of the cause of intermitted fault? Can compressor be repaired if removed? Will be swapping the relay later from the rear defogger (same part number 40a relay) to make sure it not that and yes a trip to the local shop for gas volume check and leak test. Ruling out the control flaps as when I increase temp to 29 it is blowing super hot and all the control flaps and noises can be heard switching, and back to low setting gives hot air but much less roasting.

  2. I went through the wiring diagrams in the Porsche service manual. The only references to the Homelink were for the power (taken off fuse 47) and ground to it. There is a wiring diagram of the overhead console - that doesn't show it at all. The module mounts in the nose of the Cayenne above the center grille. Dunno if there is any existing wiring in that area or not. It's vaguely possible that the Homelink module to the overhead console link is made via Can-Buss, lots of other stuff on a Cayenne is controlled that way - but minus any detailed wiring diagrams I can't actually say.. Good luck and please post what you figure out..

  3. http://www.renntech.org/forums/tutorials/article/153-yet-another-way-to-add-a-homelink-device/ I used this tutorial to add a Homelink to my 986. I realize that this uses a Homelink system from an older U.S. car, but it may provide some hints for your project. Good luck.
