  1. Try 5434 or 5432
  2. Her are the "within" ranges for air mass (the air flow past the MAF) Idle -- 12 - 24 ML in kg/h No load, n=2500 rpm -- 40 - 70 ML in kg/h Adaption values usually refer to mixture adaption - these are TRA and FRA TRA: = Adaptation in area close to idle for cylinders 1 - 3 TRA2: = Adaptation in area close to idle for cylinders 4 - 6 FRA: = Adaptation under load for cylinders 1 - 3 FRA2: = Adaptation under load for cylinders 4 - 6 It might be good for you to pick one of the OBD II manuals from Sunset Imports - the 5.2.2 OBD II manual is only $55.
  3. Find a shop that has a PIWIS tester so they can diagnose the problem.
  4. Doh.. 2001 996 C2 A http://www.renntech.org/forums/index.php?s...post&p=3693
  5. The airbags will still work. You need either the Durametric software, a PST2 or PIWIS tester to reset the airbag circuit. You should have the Tiptronic checked for fault codes with a PST2 or PIWIS tester.
  6. Year and model of your car please? The specs are different depending on that (i.e. egas, S vs. non-S, etc).
  7. We have added the model year 2009 Carrera Option Code Lookup to our Options Codes page. This includes the (as of today) 411 options.
  8. Have you tried Sunset Imports (Porsche parts at Dealer Cost)?
  9. You can download the Durametric Manual here. Your answer is on page 10. (hint - yes.)
  10. We have added and/or updated TSBs in the following categories (41 TSBs total): 987 - 3 987c - 3 996TT - 1 997-1 - 11 997-2 - 2 997 GT3 - 1 997TT - 1 Cayenne - 6 Cayenne gen 2 - 13 Includes retrofit instructions for adding music player to 987, 987c, 997, Cayenne.
  11. I don't think the Durametric can reset alarm codes. In this case you may just want to re-check them and see if they have incremented in a month or so.
  12. I am not sure what you mean about "meaningless codes". They are Porsche fault codes. Those are common (but not usually fatal faults). Have you tried clearing them and then see if they come back?
  13. You are correct - if you remove it you will need to turn that feature off (so the airbag will work again).
  14. :welcome: Give our Search a try-- it works! http://www.renntech.org/forums/index.php?s...ost&p=87442
  15. On 2002 and newer cars the dealer can run a test with their PST2 or PIWIS and it will tell them if the DME has been changed. We've seen a number of cars that you can not program - but because the model type was never entered in the DME section. They might want to double check that before they order a DME.
  16. Folks you need to PM Porschelibrarian if you want to purchase something from him. Thanks
  17. I quoted the part number he gave me (986.331.043.07) which is called "control arm" in PET.
  18. Yes, the biggest part of the job is running the new wiring.
  19. Thanks for the update guys. Ya I figured the plug thing a bit too late. I was quite surprised to find that the plastic part off the clock spring that returns the signal to the neutral position broke as I was driving. Now my question is, I put it all back together as I wait for my part for the "plugged" :) dealer but my airbag light now remains on? Do I need a Porsche dealer t turn it off or did I mess something up? Thanks again both of you... You will need the Durametric software, a PST2 or PIWIS tester to turn off an airbag light.
  20. I think I would have the dealer look at it? It is still under warranty? I don't think you want to remove any suspension pieces - they are all there for a reason.
  21. Model and year of your car please?
  22. I just verified my problem to be switch related and I just saw you post regarding cleaning the switch itself. What was involved? The dealer tells me $123 for the switch alone. I've nothing to loose by trying to clean it first. Thanks. Have you checked the switch price at Sunset Porsche (Porsche Parts at Dealer Cost)?
  23. Try 4229 or 4227
  24. Try 6731 or 6729
