  1. Try 9433 or 9431 Loren, sorry to trouble you again, but it appears that I didn't provide you with completly accurate information. I have confirmed the Model #, and Serial #, listed earlier are correct, but I incorrectly identified the radio as being "Becker", it is actually a Harman Karden by Becker. While there does appear to be 10 presets, when entering the code, only the digits 1 thru 7 are available and it appears that the code should be a 5 digit number. Would this corrected information change the information you input into your program and perhaps result in different codes? Or are the Model number and Serial number enough? Any additional insight you might have would be most appreciated. Thanks again, Todd. Yes, that changes it. Try 29433 or 29431
  2. I think Palo Alto Speedometer will do it for $150 or $200.
  3. Lateral runout of the brake disc, max. -- 0.03 mm Lateral runout of the wheel hub, max. -- 0.03 mm Lateral runout of the brake disc when installed, max. -- 0.06 mm You will need a dial gauge and a mount.
  4. Basically wobble at the outside edge of the rotor caused by a bad rotor or wheel hub.
  5. What was the fault code(s)?
  6. Check the backup light relay under the dash on the left side.
  7. Speedometer signal wire is gray/pink. I am perplexed as to why a radio would need the tach wire...
  8. That is easy to test unplug the MAF and see if it makes any difference.
  9. They are "guidelines" so most dealers would be yes. Indies are on their own - they can charge more or less.
  10. Sounds like another broken (or disconnected) latch.
  11. If it were a bad coil you should get a CEL. Have you cleaned the throttle body? (the process is described here elsewhere) Or checked and cleaned the idle control valve? I would start there and also get your OBD II read for any fault codes.
  12. Sorry, Porsche does not sell just the stalk parts only the whole assembly. If you want just the turn signal part you might try a salvage yard. It is a little more work but a few folks have changed out just the turn signal switch. Item 1 - 996.613.219.10.EWC is the whole assembly -- US MSRP $248.18. Sunset Imports (Porsche parts at Dealer Cost) can likely do better than that.
  13. Model an year of your car please?
  14. How is the coolant level? Any oil floating in the coolant?
  15. Prior to 0W-40 Mobil 1 the recommended oil by Porsche was 15W-50 Mobil 1. Most of the older Owners Manuals state that.
  16. Look in the throttle body for oil. If there is oil in the TB then you likely have a bad AOS.
  17. Hmm... I show an MSRP of about $2300 for a cylinder head(and cam cover). Who quoted you $3300?
  18. I do not know how they get in there but I know of several instances where they got in under battery and chewed the fuel tank level sender wires. My guess would be that the follow the openings from the left front fender fuel filler to the tank.
  19. Sorry, but the bottom of your car is basically open and there are lots of wires to chew on. I know of ABS, brake wear wires and fuel tank sensing unit wires all being chewed by rodents.
  20. Remember the head and the cam cover are a matched set - so you will need both.
  21. Have you checked for pending fault codes? Could be a bad AOS.
  22. Try 0084 or 0082 I tryed those two codes but non of them worked. Can I something wrong or.. P.S it's a car from the U.S Henrik Please read this and follow the instructions... Lost Radio Code - FAQ, PLEASE READ THIS FIRST
  23. Model and year of your car please? (your profile says 986 Boxster but you posted in 996 Carrera)
