  1. I suggest you replace the bad ones before they break - if they break they can take the alternator and do other damage.

  3. They may be Loctite'd. I've removed a couple on 996's that were way beyond the 15 ft/lbs they are supposed to be torqued to. Make sure you have a good (not worn) hex head tool for removal.

  5. Hmm... in some cases the Euro OBD II specs are tighter than the US and they use different cats.

    Cayenne's have a 70 AH, 95 AH, or 110 AH battery depending on the options. If it were me I would go for the 110 AH.

P1128 Oxygen Sensing Adaptation, Idle Range, Bank 1 – Above Limit or Below Limit P1130 Oxygen Sensing Adaptation, Idle Range, Bank 2 – Above Limit or Below Limit P1126 Oxygen Sensing Adaptation, Lower Load Range, Bank 1 – Above Limit or Below Limit P1133 Oxygen Sensing Adaptation, Lower Load Range, Bank 2 – Above Limit or Below Limit P0107 Ambient Pressure Sensor – Below Limit This code means your ambient pressure sensor is shorted to ground or your DME is bad. If this code does not go away then you need a new DME (since that is where the ambient pressure sensor is). Based on these faults it looks like your DME can not control the mixture - period. I guess you can disconnect the battery (wait a few minutes). Then disconnect and DME connector(s) and reconnect them again. See if you get the same P0107 - if not is was a bad connection. If you do get the P0107 again it looks like you need a DME.

  16. I don't see any reason why it would not work as long as the lighter is not switched (always on).
  17. The clutch is hydraulic so there is technically no adjustment possible. There is however, a small amount of adjustment in the clutch master cylinder pushrod. Not as much as you would like but there is a little there.
  18. Have your dealer check the DME software revision. There were a couple of updates that were done and perhaps your car does not have the latest software.
  19. What do you mean by set points? Factory settings? If so, those are programmed in when the DME is coded in from a PST2 or PIWIS tester.
  20. No, the Cup Cars come with a Service manual and parts list CD (you'd expect so for $140,000 - right?). The Cup Car CD only covers that specific model year that you ordered. Sometimes there are few changes year to tear - sometimes there are major changes year to year.

  23. I think that you are thinking of the early version 1 of the ceramic brake rotors. Most of the problems I heard of were from people that tracked their cars heavily and the rotors would crack or chuck off pieces. Since version 2 of the rotors came out I have heard very few complaints.
