  1. I had the same symptoms in the past and the main battery under the left front seat was responsible for the suspension warnings. I was getting the red warning just after starting the car. If you have Kessy and are using the dummy key to start the car, the battery in the front is used for cranking. The rear battery on Kessy equipped vehicles is used for starter cranking only when the metal key is inserted in the ignition switch and not the plastic dummy key. (logic being that if you have a flat main battery, KESSY would be inoperative, resulting in the use of the metal key and therefore rear battery for start) Either way, with KESSY or without and irrespective if you have a rear battery, there is no need to change the rear battery for the suspension warnings. I would be changing the front main battery. IJ2C is the option code for the dual battery setup. It should be listed on your vin option sticker located under the floor panel in the rear cargo compartment.
  2. No free lunch. You should drive mostly at the suspension height that your wheel alignment was carried out at. Any deviation from this setting would expose your wheels to a different camber which would lead to abnormal tyre wear, especially after prolonged periods of driving.
  3. The magnetic bearing info regarding the ABS is correct. Did you have bearings replaced previously?
  4. Has been done. http://www.6speedonline.com/forums/cayenne-955-957/259583-duramtric-lower-suspension.html#post3365727
  5. What temp did you have set on the control panel?
  6. Sounds like battery, if no faults codes are evident. Hope your enjoying those smooth gear changes post TCM and valve body replacement.
  7. The tailgate switches feed into the rear comfort systems control unit. This unit may be faulty or more likely just needs a reset. Pulling and resetting the applicable 5 amp fuse (fuse #53 under the left dashboard panel, check your owners manual under the fuses section for clarification) or disconecting the battery for a few minutes may indeed fix your issues.
  8. How's the serpentine drive belt looking?
  9. Just to clarify, 1. When you say lid, are you referring to the rear glass lid or the whole rear tailgate door? 2. When the beeps sound, is the glass lid still fully closed? A common fault was the glass lid would unlatch by itself after going over bumps.
  10. You have to remove the large circuit board to reveal the switch underneath. There are about 5 screws to remove to release the board. You also have to remove the remote garage opener module which is located near the board and unplug some connections. It's all quite basic once you remove the circuit board.
  11. DME is located under the engine hood, extreme right hand side, under the removable grill just down from the windscreen lower edge, near the brake fluid reservoir. TIptronic module is under the right hand seat. Battery disconnection is recommended.
  12. 1314 code relates to DME, 1315 code relates to Tiptronic Control Module. Sounds like these units are not communicating with each other through the CAN bus. Before spending any money or trying to reprogram, I suggest you physically disconnect, inspect, clean and reconnect the electrical connectors on the DME control and also the Tiptronic Control Module. After this go ahead and clear messages then try to reprogram. Good Luck.
  13. $138 at porscheoemparts.com part number is 95542603311
  14. The engine should turn off even in drive, you need to cycle the ignition switch to off for 2 cycles.
  15. Good sense in replaceing all the hardware items as suggested by Sunset ie. caliper mounting bolts and spring / hardware. Rotors usually need to be changed every second pad replacement cycle.
  16. It's the one on the dash. The sensor on the back of the mirror is used for the mirror auto dimming function.
  17. Height adjustment when stopped can happen for minor height corrections, this is normal, but any large changes would be suspect. As a side note, If you run the Cayenne extensively at a height level different to the height setting that was used when your wheel alignment was carried out, you will get more camber wear issues on your tyres.
  18. Best solution I found is to just flick the transmission down a gear using the tiptronic switch on the steering wheel when coming out of a corner or entering the freeway. No lag and instant boost. Try it.
  19. The door trim panel has to come off the door. The ashtray then can be removed from the door panel.
  20. What symptoms do you have to show the compressor has failed and valve block is faulty?
  21. Since you are getting the M via the steering wheel switches, I would be looking into the shifter housing and checking out the sensor actuators / hall effect sensors to see if they are intact as wvicary also suggests.
  22. Does the instrument display show the "M" symbol when the shifter is selected into the M gate?
