  1. MY? Check alarm faults with PST2/PIWIS or durametric.
  2. open the trays (and remove them) and you will see tabs to push to release it.
  3. always check codes..might be a steering sensor...check the front diff. to see if it is leaking fluids.
  4. Ah, that explains it...thanks!
  5. jd..read this link clearly states fuel filters are only for pre-02 cars...so I do see the PN in PET,and the maintenance schedule says to replace at 60K...so I guess I'm wrong...
  6. MY please...if it is 02+, the fuel filter is part of the fuel pump and is not normally changed.
  7. Here is something to consider...while turbo "kits" probably can be fitted, you also have to consider transmission, brakes, suspension, numerous other internals, even axles as the torque can be significantly greater with a turbo...unless you have an unlimited budget to fix things as they break.
  8. Assuming you have already read this? and this one for clues?
  9. Did the felt pads get installed? Bowden cables adjusted correctly?
  10. Welcome aboard... Click on search and enter key words (like +emergency+trunk+release) and up will come a bunch of threads to help...like this one. read here for search instructions
  11. Ah yes...The number I had was for a specific fault (which of course I can't remember)...but as Loren says it depends: Remedying faults (CE lamp OUT) When a fault occurs for the first time during a diagnostic routine, it is stored as a suspected fault. In the subsequent driving cycle, the suspicion is either confirmed (fault recurs) or cancelled (fault does not recur, no indication on a scan tool). If the fault activates the CE lamp, a fault correction counter is started at the same time with a certain value (e.g. 5). In the course of further diagnostic routines, if the fault is not present in the same range window the correction counter is decremented by 1. If the correction counter has the value 0, the fault is assessed as remedied. If the fault activated the Check Engine warning light, this will be switched off if not prevented by any further fault. The fault remains in the fault memory for the time being and is only deleted after a number of further warm-up cycles (defined in the fault deletion counter) (workshop assistance if for example the tank cap is temporarily not correctly screwed in).
  12. My understanding is certain codes will clear with 7 ignition starts...(this according to the service manual).
  13. If you want to replace the CF with other CF parts, check out MAcarbon
  14. The car wil go into "sleep" mode after 5 days of non use....to get out of sleep mode, you unlock the door with the mechanical key and then press the key fob unlock within 5 seconds...so it seems there was another issue. Perhaps the battery had a bad connection which prevented the immobilizer from working properly. In any event I would get the codes read to see if there is a fault in the alarm system.
  15. I'm not positive, but I think you have to remove the door panel to fix it...sorry.
  16. Chuck, don't you have the GT3RS clutch from Kevin?
