I followed your instructions byt I cant reset it. The reset service comes on and and when I press the reset on the winshield wiper handle it does not do anything.

Same here. Does anyone actually know how to reset the service indicator?

anyone know how to reset the service due on the display on cayenne turbo? thanks :help:

Does anyone find it a little stupid that you cannot manually reset the oil service indicator on a Cayenne without having to pay Porsche dealer for this service

If you combine post #5 and post #6 it works. Just did it 5 minutes ago. Try pushing the odo/trip reset button and then turn the ignition on. The display will say Service Reset. Press the Reset button on the windshield wiper stalk. Reset complete!!! Go back to Enjoying your Car! :drive:

When this topic first came up I followed Post #5 and I did see the “service reset” message even though I couldn’t reset it. Since then, I have had warrantee work done and they told me the upgraded some software. I tried it again yesterday and now it no longer displays the “service reset” option. They must have removed that feature.

On the bright side, I called my local Porsche mechanic and he now has the Cayeene software to reset the service reminder. One less thing to worry about.

holding down odometer w/ key turn brought up Reset alert. Clicked Reset button on wiper arm, worked fine. Thanks!

That doesn't work for me. I know my Cayenne has the lastest update. Can other confirm?

Mine says service reset, but seems to still bring up the service screen when i turn on the car hmmmmm.

I just gritted my teeth and got a Durametric. Maybe I can convince my fiance she needs a Cayman instead of a 350Z, so I can make it more of a value :)

The Durametric has done everything I needed (check engine codes, clear service reminder, and check my 0-60, 1/4mi, and 0-100-0 times. You know, the serious stuff.).

So just out of curiosity, can the service light be reset manually with the odo/reset button on all models or is there a difference in model years. For those that were able to reset the light, what year was your vehicle?

For those that it didn't work, what year is your vehicle?

I have a hard time believing a software update will disable this function.

Excellent.

Thank you!

I own an independant Volvo shop, so that's where the bulk of my experience lies. I took a look at the Durametric software, and i have to say Porsche owners are very fortunate indeed to have such a low cost solution for software to scan our cars.

The equivalent software on Volvo cars is $7500 per year, or $150 per a three day subscription.

What model year is your Cayenne? Has it received any updates from the dealer?
