Hi All Loren if you reading pls reply :)

Still having tail light fault warning message, I have the 2008 led tail/brake lights and despite working when I hit the brake pedal the tail light will turn of after depressing and give the warning.

Piwis shows short circuit on left tail light, I have stripped and bench test both tail lights and found no issues.

I need to check the wiring back along the left side under seat and drivers floor but no idea which wires are for what.

I did pull the carpet drivers side and found some previous fiddling evidence. Any body got any diagrams and any advice please help me out.

This conversion was done in 2008 by Porsche in Qatar. The full 2008 facelift was performed.

They installed a rear courtesy light in pararelle with each tail light to act as resistance. This worked for many years so I'm head scratching where the fault is located.

My 1999 911 Carrera started smoking at a streetlight. Very smelly blue smoke was coming from under the engine cover. I pulled over and popped the cover. Blue smoke was coming from somewhere under the engine (not the exhaust). The engine stopped very suddenly.

We don't have a local Porsche dealer, but the Subaru dealer owns a bunch of 911s and he has a couple Porsche mechanics. I had it towed there.

The C1 fuse ("Engine Electronics") was blown. They replaced it, but as soon as they turned the key, the "cam adjuster wiring harness" (I do not know what this is) began to smoke, and the fuse blew again.

They disconnected the cam adjuster wiring harness (I don't know what this means, and neither did the service advisor), and the fuse stayed intact, and they got the car started. They were able to drive it out to the parking lot with no problems.

They said I need a new cam adjuster wiring harness (again, no idea what this is), and this would require an engine out repair, which they could not do. They estimated this work at $5,000 to $6,000.

Additionally, they did not know how drivable the car was with a disconnected cam adjuster wiring harness.

So ... how bad is this?  (Service report image attached.)

Hi everyone, I just got a set of gauges for a 2005 996. I'm building a simulator for PC and would like to wire the gauges to work with racing games. I am in need of the wiring diagrams for the cluster. If anyone has a picture or manual that can help me out it would be great! Looking for inputs, power, signal.

Does anyone have a wiring diagram for the seat on a 2008/957 Cayenne which they can let me have?

I’m trying to chase a fault where the passenger seat will motor up and down and the backrest will adjust forward and aft, but there is no response from the controls to move the seat unit forwards and backwards, or the four-way lumber support control.

      Thanks in anticipation...

CEL came on, no missing or other noticeable engine anomaly.
El cheapo ELM OBDII reader produced these codes:  Was able to extinguish CEL.
P3104 Intake manifold air control solenoid - short to positive
P0104 Mass or Volume Air Flow "A" Circuit Intermittent
      P0204 Injector 4 – circuit malfunction
This suggests an intermittent wiring short.  Any ideas on where such might have occurred?
      Thanks in advance

      Hi Porsche Gurus
I’m trying to troubleshoot a little issue I have that just my drivers door courtesy lights (and drivers sunvisor light but not sure if that’s different issue) don’t work, both the red and white ones and only the one door(rhd car)
now ive checked the common things like all the fuses and the wiring to see if they were damaged or corroded but they seem fine,
The one thing I would like to check but can not find any info on is where or what is the switch or sensor that tells the lights that the door is open to turn the lights on?
If I can find that then that will at least eliminate all manual fixes that I can think of unless any of you have come across this before, if it’s something simple and I look like a fool for not thinking of it then I’m happy to be a fool as long as the lights work:)
any help would be much appreciated
      thanks
      Stevie G
