997 Rear Lid "Carrera" badge sticker replacement

Recommended Posts

Hi Guys,

My rear lid "Carrera" badge's sticker is kind of loosing with the sticky part, in order to repair it, I guess I will need to replace the sticker part, I know the whole emblem is available but as my badge is not damage, I would like to simply replace the sticker in between the emblem and the lid.

Does anyone know whether this pre-cut double sided sticker is available and where can I buy them?

Thank you

Eric

You'd probably have a difficult time finding a pre-cut adhesive. I used this before: http://3mcollision.c...sive-08061.html Good luck!

Thanks for your advise and info. Does this stuff glue on the body panel and can be remove kind of without leaving marks just in case?

Thx

Eric

No idea. I know it stays on, but I've never tried to take it off afterwards. Probably a better question for 3M. One would surmise that if they made it for emblems that it does come off cleanly....

I purchased a new "S" script from the dealer for about $13.00 and then bought a can of spray paint (ruby red), painted the "S" and attached it. Before removing the silver "S", i carefully outlined the placement of it on the lid with blue masking tape so that when I put the red one on, it would be in the exact same place. I removed the existing one with dental floss. Hopefully this picture of mine came thru OK.post-67424-0-04898800-1345589020_thumb.j
