2002 996 rollover and airbag light intermittent.

Recommended Posts

Took my car in for regular service. Replaced belt and a new battery was installed. Tech noted that when they replaced the battery. They pulled the radio out to find the serial number to get the code for the radio. Since then I have noticed that when I make a sharp right turn or go over a bump the radio turns off, airbag and rollover light comes on including the lights on the door panels. When vechile is switched off the codes are gone until I run over a bump or right turn again. I think it is a lose connection somewhere but I can't figure it out. Tech said that it could be a glitch. I feel like smacking him over the head because I never had this issue. Any insights?

That is weird, MkII radios don't use codes.

MY2002 was the last year for "wired" radios before they went to fiber optics (MOST) in MY2003.

If they caused the problem - they should fix the problem - for free.

Ah, ok. My bad. That makes sense now.
