Yes, I think you need to read the Lost Radio Code FAQ.

I have waited for more than a day for the WAIT sign to disappear. After a day, I disconnected the battery in an attempt to reboot the radio. No luck. FAQ don't seem to address this.

You need to drive the car - start and stops.
