Wow, this thread is a life saver.  Loren, thanks for all the answers you're giving.  Can you please provide me a code for a 2002 996tt?

 

Typ: CCR 220

Model No.: BE 6624

Serial No.: 25005978

 

Also, the code provided by the previous owner (2199) didn't work and I have the 'WAIT' screen.  I've let it sit for a couple days, without power, and when I started it again yesterday I still had the wait screen.  Do you know how long it takes to clear that?  Do I have to keep it on a battery tender and keep the ignition on?

 

Finally, I used the radio removal keys to get the radio out and now they're stuck in the head unit, is there a magical trick to get them to release?
