Lost Radio Code - post your request here

Recommended Posts

My 1999 Boxster is not accepting the code after the battery was replaced.  The code has worked in the past but now all I get is WAIT!  This has been going on for some time and the only way I can get back to the CODE screen is to disconnect the battery and it doesn't work.

The serial number is: W5006196  Type is: 4462, CD is CDP2065 AND THE NEXT SCREEN IS 30/98.

Can anyone help me get this unlocked???  PLEASE

Try 0932

From the Lost Radio Code FAQ...

"I get a WAIT on the display - what do I do?
You have to wait at least 30 minutes before trying again."

If that is the correct serial number (per the procedure in the  Lost Radio Code FAQ) then it is likely that radio has been repaired by some 3rd party other than Becker. If that is the case I can not help you.

It has not been repaired by anyone.

It has not been repaired by anyone.  It sat in the garage until the battery died.  I purchased a new battery and now when I enter the code (that has always worked) it makes me enter it twice and then just says WAIT! I have been waiting for over a month for the WAIT to go away.  The battery died again and it came back to the enter CODE screen but keeps going to WAIT when I enter 0932.

Then perhaps it has failed.

The get serial number procedure always gives the correct serial number regardless of what the sticker on the radio says.

When that method is used the code I give you always works.

The only time the code does not work (that we've seen) is after a 3rd party repair.

I am sorry I don't have a better solution for you.
