Hi,
My 99 996 has started beeping twice when I press the key fob.
It locks and then immediately unlocks.
Also when opening the drivers side door, the window goes down when handle is pulled but goes straight back up when the handle is released. So the window obstructs the door closing.
I have the following Durametric Alarm errors:
11
Voltage failure during alarm
output
Status: not present
Frequency counter: 1 10
Voltage failure at terminal 30
with alarm system active
Status: not present
Frequency counter: 1 46
Control locking synchronization
Status: not present
Frequency counter: 2 49
K lead
Status: not present
Frequency counter: 1 21
W lead (DME immobilizer)
Status: not present
Frequency counter: 1
What's the best way to proceed with fixing this?
Thanks
Ravi

I have a 2002 Porsche 996 Cabrio and earlier this year the immobolizer under the seat got wet. I purchased a used immobilizer, key for and ECU behind the rear seat. All of the parts came from the some year model etc. I put the parts in myself and everything worked great. Now i need a new key fob or atleast I think i do. The remote work sometimes and most of the time is doesn't. When its not working I cant lock or unlock the car with the remote and the front trunk will not open with the fob or the switch inside the car. When the fob works everthing works as it should in the car. Do you think this is a key fob issue or something else? Can i even get a key head programmed since these part are from a donor car? I do have the vin of the donor car.
Please help!

Since I bought my Boxster the key-fob never worked, so my usual practice
is to put my key into the cylinder and turn it to unlock.
So this week, I did the procedure I've done hundreds of times, when after opening,
the resistance I've always felt while turning the lock disappeared! I could now
turn the key left and right, a full 180 degrees without any resistance. No movement
in the door latch.
And yet, when I roll the car down the driveway, the door locks do engage and so does the
latch. Something mechanical must have slipped off the cylinder assembly, and I know I'll
have to take the door apart to find out,
I'm wondering if anyone has had the same situation and what they've done to fix it.
Thanks1

I purchased a 1999 Porsche Boxster 986 about a year ago and I'm having a few problems with the electrical accessories. The top worked fine when I bought it, but now it won't work sometimes. The radio also turns on, then immediately off at startup, and it won' turn back on until a few minutes later either by itself, when I use turn signals, power windows, brake, or even just by itself. After the car is "warmed up", then it will stay on. Other things won't work right or not at all, such as the alarms for, ignition, door open, light switches, etc. The fuses are all fine, and I know the battery had been replaced right before I purchased it. I haven't checked the relay for the top, but I am about to do that now. I feel like there could be a single problem creating all these issues. Any help would be greatly helpful and appreciated!

On my '08 GTS I have a few things happening. First, when arming the alarm, the hazards flash four times instead o the customary two. Is this an indication of a malfunction?
Second, the rear hatch will not fully close when pressing the button on the liftgate. It will close when pressure is applied to the gate when closing.
Both of these happened after the dealer replaced the driver's door module and re-coded the car.
Any ideas on where to begin? Other than going back to the dealer.
